I have worked at Bannatyne's for 2 years now but prior to this I have studied at other health clubs. Through these clubs, I've managed to gain a variety of qualifications that I consider to make me a well rounded Personal Trainer and Instructor. If I had to describe what I specialised in, I'd say conditioning training.
This would have a major focus on losing body fat whilst increasing things such as speed, strength and endurance. I like my clients to focus on all areas of training to improve fitness levels as well as self confidence. Of course I will work towards my clients goals and therefore we may need to focus on more specific types of training as opposed to others. I like to help my clients develop healthy, long term habits that will not only allow them to achieve their short term goals, but also create a lifestyle change.

I was introduced to the world of exercise and fitness from a very young age. I've participated in a variety of training styles from gymnastics and dance, to Muay Thai Boxing and heavy weighted training. For as long as I can remember, I have always been active. I was influenced to become a Personal Trainer and Instructor after seeing what I had achieved through the help of my own Personal Trainer. Seeing how much I had accomplished and how inspired I had become, I took it upon myself to turn my passion into my career. I'm a very hardworking and motivated individual and I hope to pass both of these attributes on to my clients, helping them to successfully achieve long term results.
More often than not, the feedback I receive from my clients tends to be the way they now view exercise and nutrition. It's not uncommon to say that for the most part, people don't enjoy training or 'dieting' as they call it. I'd like to think that I can change that person's mind and according to the feedback I receive, I believe I'm doing just that. After all, fitness isn't just about the physical, it's about training the mind and creating a positive environment in which my clients can unleash their full potential.
