ENTRIES AND ELIGIBILITY
1. The competition is open to UK residents aged 18 and over who are legally entitled to enter into a marriage or civil partnership. Entrants may not be already married or in a civil partnership, as the competition is not open for vow renewal ceremonies or celebrations. The competition is not open to employees of the Bannatyne Group (including its subsidiaries) or their immediate family members.
2. To enter the competition, entrants must attend a pre-booked tour of the venue facilities for a wedding or wedding reception at Bannatyne Spa Hotel, Darlington between 1st October 2024 and 18th November 2024 (inclusive). The competition is not open to entrants who have an existing wedding booking with any Bannatyne Hotel at the time of the tour.
3. During eligible tours, entrants will be offered the opportunity to complete an entry form for the competition. The completed entry form must be submitted to a Bannatyne’s representative at the time of the tour.
4. We may also ask you to submit a photo of you and your partner and a description as to why you want to win a wedding for use in our promotional materials, however your participation in this is optional.
5. Entry forms and prizes are non-transferable, non-refundable and have no cash value or equivalent.
6. Responsibility will not be accepted for entries lost, delayed, mislaid or damaged. Incomplete, damaged or illegible entries, or those entries that are not in accordance with these terms will be disqualified.
7. Only one paper entry is permitted per wedding party. If an entrant ‘likes’ a participating Bannatyne Hotel on Instagram, Facebook and/or Twitter, an extra entry per ‘like’ shall be entered into the competition for that entrant. We shall reserve the right to disqualify any entry if, in our reasonable opinion, we believe that the entrant has submitted an excessive number of entries.
DRAWING THE WINNER
8. The winner will be drawn at random from all eligible entries in a supervised draw at Bannatyne Head Office, Darlington after the closing date of 18th November 2024 and the winner will be announced on 25th November 2024 and will be contacted by phone as soon as possible thereafter.
9. If the winner:
a. cannot be contacted or successful contact is not made within a reasonable time period;
b. fails to meet any of the eligibility requirements; or
c. is otherwise unable to comply with these terms and conditions (or the event terms and conditions),
it may result in forfeiture of the prize. Bannatyne Hotels reserves the right to disqualify that entrant (without further liability to that entrant) and offer the prize to the next eligible entrant and thereafter until a winner is found.
10. The name of the winner will be made available on request in writing to Bannatyne Hotels Limited, Power House, Haughton Road, Darlington, Co Durham DL1 1ST.
THE PRIZE
11. The prize is a Prosecco wedding breakfast for 10 people at Bannatyne Spa Hotel, Darlington. The value of the prize at the time of writing is as set out below, (however this may be subject to change):

13. The prize must be booked by 31st December 2024. All bookings are subject to availability of specific dates and exclude all bank holidays and bank holiday weekends.
14. The prize may not be taken as cash and cannot be used for payment of third parties. Only one prize is available.
15. The winner may upgrade to a package with a value over the value of the prize, however the winner will be solely responsible for all costs over the prize value limit, as well as for all costs payable to third parties.
16. If the package booked by the winner is less than the prize value, the winner will not be entitled to the remainder of the prize value in any form (cash or a cash equivalent).
17. Any additional costs and expenses incurred in planning, executing and attending the wedding will remain the responsibility of the winner.
18. The prize is non-transferable and the winner must be either a bride or groom in the wedding party. There is no cash alternative. No purchase necessary.
BOOKING
19. The prize must be booked within 4 weeks of notification of the winner. The procedure for booking the wedding is set out in the event terms and conditions, and includes sending us a completed and signed event Booking Form, the hotel accepting the booking.
20. The Booking will be subject to the usual terms and conditions applicable to event bookings, and a booking can only be accepted, and a date confirmed, on receipt of the signed event Booking Form.
21. If the winner makes a booking between the date of their tour and the date that they are notified that they are the winner, the prize will be applied to their existing Booking.
22. All Bookings may be amended and upgraded in accordance with their Terms and Conditions, save that the value of the prize will never exceed £1,200 and will always remain subject to these terms and conditions.
USE OF YOUR DATA & PROMOTION
23. The winner agrees, and will procure the agreement of their bride, groom, or partner to participate in reasonable publicity including, but not limited to, publication of their names, details of their wedding, and photographs of the couple and/or their wedding to the Bannatyne Hotels website, social media sites and other Bannatyne marketing literature.
24. By entering the competition, you acknowledge that you are providing personal data to Bannatyne Hotels Limited. Bannatyne Hotels will use this data to contact you about future offers and promotions, or news. All electronic communications will include details of how to opt out of future communications. If you wish to opt out of all marketing communications, please tell us in an email to your Event Manager. Please include your full name and email address.
25. Bannatyne Hotels will never sell, distribute or lease your personal information to third parties unless we have your permission or are required to do so by law.
LEGAL
26. Entry to the competition constitutes the entrant’s acceptance of these terms and conditions and their agreement to be bound by them. If these terms and conditions are not accepted in full, then entrants should not enter this competition. Bannatyne Hotels reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time.
27. If there is any dispute about an entry or any other aspect of the competition, this will be decided by Bannatyne Hotels. Bannatyne Hotels’ decisions in relation this competition (whether or not covered by these terms and conditions) shall, once made, be final and binding. No further correspondence will be entered into.
