A bit about me

I have always enjoyed sporting activities and being active, joining in with girls Football, Rugby and Tennis. I started going to the gym at 13 years of age with my family and really enjoyed it. I decided to make my hobby into a job, as they say if you can do something every day that you love, you never have to work another day in your life! I completed a course with Adult Education in Norwich and gained my Level 2 Fitness Instructor qualification, from that got my first job in the fitness industry. I went on to do a home study qualification to become a Level 3 Personal trainer, gaining knowledge on specific groups such as pre and post natal and elderly clients. After working with a number of people,

I decided I wanted as few limitations as possible.
I studied to become a GP referral instructor.

This would allow me to work alongside medical professionals to improve a number of health related issues, such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol, obesity and depression, helping through exercise to minimise further health problems and enhance the person's life and mental state. The feeling of helping someone achieve and work towards their goals, is what makes my job so worthwhile. When you get to see them grow in confidence, and begin to love the body in which they live in. My aim is try and make exercise and the gym an enjoyable experience, and get that feel good factor at the end of it. Please come and see me if you have any questions as I would love to help you with your exercise and health journey!

What my clients have to say:

Katie has taken me from wondering if I would ever play golf again to now being determined to play golf again. When I joined Bannatyne Norwich West I was wondering what I had walked into. Was I going to get the help I needed. Would I just be left to do my own thing? I had just had an operation which had left me very limited amount of movement. Shaun (GM) joined me up and paired me with Katie - to this day I can't thank Katie enough for the care and attention to detail that she has given me. I have gained 90% of my mobility back, I'm strong than I've ever been and my confidence is sky high. I will play golf again and I can't wait. Thank you Katie
