Bannatyne Wildmoor member running in memory of his son

Jim, who is a member of our Wildmoor health club took part in a new fitness race, HYROX London. Jim entered the event in memory of his son Zak who sadly passed away in October 2020.

The competition starts with a 1km run, followed by a functional workout repeated eight times.

Here is what Jim had to say about the event:

"I did this event 'topless' with my Zak tattoo on display in honour of the sporting excellence and abilities that he possessed - but unfortunately, I do not. The race is a tremendous 'all-rounder' type event, but I was humbled by the 125kg sled pull and need to put more weight on the sled before I have another go!

At 59 years of age, I was an older competitor but there was a wide range of age groups"

Huge congratulations on completing this event Jim, you should be incredibly proud of your achievement, it's a great way to celebrate Zaks’s memory.
