Dumfries Club Raises more than £600 for Cash for Kids with Charity Week Events

Our Dumfries health club recently hosted a series of engaging events to support the Cash for Kids’ “Hunger Has No Holiday” campaign, raising a significant £607.39. The week-long charity drive included a variety of activities designed to bring members together for a cause close to their hearts.

The charity week kicked off with a Coffee Morning, where members enjoyed fresh brews and pastries, starting their day with community spirit and generosity. The event set a warm and welcoming tone for the week's activities.

Following the successful coffee morning, the club hosted a Throwback Body Attack class. This high-energy session combined nostalgic music hits with intense exercise, making for a memorable and impactful workout that participants thoroughly enjoyed.

The fun continued with a '60s themed Young at Heart event, which saw older members swinging to classic tunes from the era, dressed in period attire.

One of the highlights of the week was the Group Cycle 90 Minute Instructor Challenge. This intense cycling session tested the endurance of both our members and instructors.

Perhaps the most entertaining event was Pie the Staff, where members had the opportunity to foam pie the club staff, including the General Manager, Lorraine Hutton.

Lorraine Hutton, General Manager of Bannatyne Health Club Dumfries, expressed her enthusiasm and pride in the community's efforts: “Seeing our members come together to support such a crucial cause has been truly inspiring. Every pie thrown and every pedal pushed brought us closer not just to our fundraising goal. We're more than a health club; we're a community that cares.”
