Bannatyne's Health Clubs partners again with Sport Relief

Bannatyne’s Health Clubs are the official Health and Wellbeing Partner of Sport Relief 2010 and will be helping the nation get fit and ready to do their challenge for Sport Relief.

Professional fitness advisors from Bannatyne’s Health Clubs will be leading special warm-up sessions at 14 flagship Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Miles taking place across the UK on Sunday 21st March. Thousands of people across the country are expected to take part to help raise money.

In the build-up to the Sport Relief Weekend itself taking place from Friday 19th March to Sunday 21st March 2010, Bannatyne’s 60 health clubs will also be hosting a variety of exercise-related fundraising events organised by both Bannatyne’s members and staff, encouraging people to get involved in exercise, no matter what their fitness level or experience.

As one of the UK’s biggest fundraising events, Sport Relief brings the entire nation together to get active, raise cash and change lives.

And, the best bit is, all the cash you raise will be spent by Comic Relief to help people living unimaginably tough lives both at home in the UK and across the world’s poorest countries.

Duncan Bannatyne, Chairman of Bannatyne Fitness, said: “Sport Relief is a brilliant way to help people in the UK and around the world. I’d encourage anyone, no matter what their sporting ability, to rise to the challenge to raise money for this excellent charity.”

Nigel Armstrong, Managing Director of Bannatyne Fitness, said: “Bannatyne’s is very proud to be the official health and wellbeing partner of Sport Relief. In addition to leading the warm-ups at the Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Miles, all of our health clubs and their 180,000 members are organising some fantastic fundraising events. Being involved with Sport Relief is the perfect way for Bannatyne’s to combine exercise and charity and make a big difference to people’s lives.”

Michele Settle, Marketing Director at Comic Relief said "We are delighted to have Bannatyne's Health Clubs back on board for Sport Relief 2010. As one of the UK’s biggest fundraising events, Sport Relief brings the entire nation together to get active, raise cash and change lives. Bannatyne’s Health Clubs’ support is invaluable and the warm-up sessions will be a great way to kick start the Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Miles nationwide."
