  • Abs 'n' Back

    A quick but intense blast of pure abdominal work - extremely effective!

  • Beginners Spin

    Suitable for beginners to spinning. If you have ever wanted to try this great calorie burner, but have doubts on your ability, this class will teach you all you need to know.

  • Beginners step classes

    This is a basic step class to enable participants to master basic step moves.

  • BodyBALANCE

    A combination of traditional mind and body disciplines including yoga, Pilates and Tai Chi. Helps to improve posture, flexibility, strength and reduce stress.

  • BodyCOMBAT

    A complete all body work-out developed from a range of self-defence disciplines, using a combination of arm and leg movements which will tone and strengthen arms and legs, burning large amounts of calories. A great way to release the stresses from the day.

  • BodyPUMP

    BodyPUMP is an endurance class with weight set to motivating music. Each music track will target a different muscle group. Participants must attend a BodyPUMP clinic before attending a full class.

  • BodyPUMP clinic

    This clinic will enable participants to learn the correct technique for a BodyPUMP class.

  • BodySTEP

    A simple yet effective choreography combined with powerful athletic moves on a step. Improves fat burning capabilities, bone density, co-ordination, strength, posture and agility.

  • Bodyattack

    Cardio-vascular interval training programme that combines high intensity aerobic, strength and stabilising exercise. This is a rapid calorie burner that delivers improvements in endurance and overall body strength -fast.

  • Circuits

    A combination of cardiovascular and resistance training. Ideal for all levels of fitness, this workout will enable participants to choose what level of fitness they wish to work at. Circuit classes may vary in format – please check with your club noticeboard for further information.

  • Dance Aerobics

    A funky aerobic class with plenty of style! A well choreographed routine which will dazzle the mind, but will leave you longing for more. Try this unique dance class. How well can you move?

  • Group fitness

    At Bannatyne's we run a variety of group fitness classes, including Step, Aqua, Body Conditioning and Circuit Training, all with the same goals in mind:

    - To improve fitness by strengthening heart and lungs

    - To tone and strengthen muscles

    - To burn calories and fat

    Classes which include weight bearing exercises will help increase bone density and therefore, especially in females, help delay the onset of osteoporosis.

    Aqua aerobics is an excellent form of weight bearing exercise, which means that the water supports the body, decreasing the stress on weight bearing joints. Water based activities are beneficial for pregnant women, older adults and for rehabilitation from sporting injuries or operations.

  • L.B.T. (Legs, Bums and Tums)

    A complete lower body workout to tone up those problem areas. Suitable for all levels of fitness.

  • Pilates

    Pilates is based on the principle of rebalancing the body and bringing it into correct postural alignment through slow controlled movements and exercises. Pilates will improve posture, achieving balance between strength and flexibility and is a great way to relieve stress.

  • Rock Spin

    Class designed to target those problem areas.

  • Salsa

    Salsa is a great workout and fun too. No partner is necessary, so go on and inject a little bit of Latin soul into your life.

  • Spin n Abs

    This class includes a challenging cycle followed by hardcore abdominal exercises.

  • Spinning TM

    This class is a cardiovascular work-out for all levels of fitness using stationary cycles in a motivating class environment.

  • Step 'n' Sculpt

    This class is divided into two parts - step and body conditioning.

  • Stretch and relax

    A class for all levels of fitness to develop and maintain flexibility. A relaxation session will also be included in this class.

  • Yoga

    An individual form of exercise concentrating on posture and encouraging improved flexibility, breathing development and relaxation. Find peace and contentment through traditional forms of relaxation to restore health and balance.

  • Yogalates

    Relaxation and mediation using the well known disciplines of Yoga and Pilates combined to improve your core stability.
