Bannatyne's 5,000 staff and 180,000 members raised an absolutely fantastic £101,237 for Sport Relief 2010!
Bannatyne's Health Clubs are the official Health and Wellbeing Partner of Sport Relief 2010 and helped the nation get fit and ready to do their challenge for Sport Relief 2010. The staff really pulled out all the fundraising stops – selling exciting items to raise cash, including fitness passes so members could bring guests to the Club, personal training packages and even lottery tickets for members to win fantastic prizes.
And they did loads more fantastic fundraising on top of all this!
Ahead of the big day, Bannatyne's promoted the Miles in their clubs through flyers and washroom posters to help get plenty of people on board - and they even sold the superb Sport Relief Socks!
Professional fitness advisors from Bannatyne's also got everyone good and warmed up at 14 of the 16 flagship Sainsbury's Sport Relief Miles and at 15 local Miles that took place across the UK on Sunday 21st March.
Bannatyne's incredible efforts this year have brought the total raised by Bannatyne's for Sport Relief since 2008 up to an impressive £226,179!
And, the best bit is, all the cash you raise will be spent by Comic Relief to help people living unimaginably tough lives both at home in the UK and across the world's poorest countries.
Duncan Bannatyne, Chairman of Bannatyne Fitness, said: "Sport Relief is a brilliant way to help people in the UK and around the world. I'd encourage anyone, no matter what their sporting ability, to rise to the challenge to raise money for this excellent charity."
Nigel Armstrong, Managing Director of Bannatyne Fitness, said: "Bannatyne's is very proud to be the official health and wellbeing partner of Sport Relief. Being involved with Sport Relief is the perfect way for Bannatyne's to combine exercise and charity and make a big difference to people's lives."
Michele Settle, Marketing Director at Comic Relief said " Thanks so much again, Bannatyne's – you really helped to make Sport Relief a fundraising smash!"
